Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which program is right for my child/family?

Each Nejeda program offers something different to our families. Check out each program to see if their unique qualities align with what your family needs.

How does Camp Nejeda compare to other diabetes camps?

Camp Nejeda is one of a handful of diabetes camps in the U.S. that operate a full summer of programs on its own campgrounds. We were founded in 1958 and have created a multi-generational support network where warm friendships last a lifetime!

Is there Financial Aid available? How do I apply?

Financial Aid is available to campers who need it. After registering for camp, families can fill out an online and upload supporting documentation. Visit the Financial Aid page to learn more.

How do I get on a Waiting List for a particular session? What’s the possibility of getting into a session from the Wait List?

To get on the Wait List for a session, complete the online registration process and receive an email confirmation. There is no way to know in advance if or when a space will open up in any given session. As soon as we get notified that a camper has withdrawn from a session, we start trying to fill the opening. We contact the first name on the list to see if they’re still interested and only continue down the list after they decline until someone accepts the opening.

My child is registered, but I need to make a change. What do I do?

Whenever there’s been a change in information you provided during registration, simply send our Registrar (barbara@campnejeda.org) an email with your child’s name and whatever the update, change or addition may be and it will be updated.
